There Are No Strangers: April’s Story

We always ask our guests to send us stories of people they’ve met and friends they’ve made while staying with us. Recently, April sent us a private message and some photos of one such experience when she joined the Circle in Zambales last June.

Just to share, I had my first solo travel in Zambales last June 2015. I booked my stay in the Circle Hostel. All I had in mind is to have a ME time and fulfill one of my bucket list: try surfing. During my stay, the water level was not for surfing. I was about to just enjoy by simply staying in the beach and do some arts (in the Circle Hostel).

Then I met Caroline. She’s a pro in solo travel. The next day we decided to join local fisherman and even helped them to pull their huge net. It was a team effort. And Carl being the friendly tourist already friends with a group of female fresh grad. We all went to Pundaquit to have our Anawangin tour.

Up to this day we still get in touch once in a while. Staying in the Circle Hostel not just gave me a laidback yet comfortable accommodation. It also became a bridge to gaining new friends and I came out on my comfort zone. I came home a different person with different perspective in travelling.
